LEQ: What are the CLOSE reading strategies that will be added to my flip book?
Lesson Activities/AssignmentsI Do: I will introduce the CLOSE reading focus skills: Making predictions (Key ideas and details) & Plot (Craft and Structure)
Students Do: Students will copy strategies from pg. 20 into their flip books.
I DO: Introduce vocabulary pg. 20
Students Do: Students will independently read pg. 21 CLOSE reading Model. Students will then read Raymond's Run pg. 22-32 independently.
Homework: Complete reading if not completed in class.

Students Do: Students will construct a flow map of their own and complete the map using the story, Raymond's Run. Students will show plot development and sequencing through Flo Map.
