Repeat the same for, "Why Leaves Turn Color in the Fall" pg.264-268
Teacher will place WS 4 Comparing Types of Organization on the board. As groups, the students will discuss and answer Author's Purpose, Key Ideas and Details and Organizations of the stories read.

UEQ/LEQHow do I make a claim and extend and elaborate my ideas in writing?
Lesson Activities/AssignmentsStudents will be given their essays from progress monitoring. Students will also be given the sources used to write essay. Referring to pg. 276 as an example, teacher will model how to make a statement, extend the thought and elaborate.
Students will be asked to choose three of their own statement from their paper and do the same using the chart as model.
